My Journey from Corporate to Culture

I have always loved sarees, but the world around me thought differently. Every morning, as I draped myself in my favorite six yards and walked into my multinational corporate office, I was met with comments—

"Yaar, it's a client meeting, wear something formal!"
"It's a party today, dress up properly!"
"Why so traditional? It's not a festival today!"
"Saree in the office? Don’t you feel uncomfortable?"
"You look like you’re attending a wedding, not a meeting!"
"This is a corporate space, not a family function!"

"A saree every day? Trying too hard to stand out?"
"Come on, you’re too young to dress like an aunty!"
It didn’t shake my confidence, but it made me wonder—why was a saree not seen as powerful, professional, or elegant? Why should I have to prove that I belong, just because I choose to embrace my culture?

Then, one day, a group of foreign delegates from Australia visited our office. While everyone else chose Western formals, I wore a crisp cotton Susion saree with a blazer. To my surprise, instead of questioning my choice, they admired it. They wanted to know more, to experience the elegance of an Indian saree. That moment changed everything for me.

I realized—sarees aren’t just tradition; they are power, elegance, and confidence. Whether it's a boardroom, a wedding, or a casual day, a saree speaks of heritage, strength, and grace.

That day, my passion turned into my mission: to make sarees a daily wear choice for every woman, breaking stereotypes and redefining elegance.
